The Florida Keys

The Lower Florida Keys stretching from Marathon to Key West is an expansive stretch of islands, with hundreds of miles of flats, unique culture and most importantly some of the best fishing in the entire world!

I fish many locations depending on the tides, weather and fish, but generally fish out of Cudjoe Gardens Marina (mile marker 21, Cudjoe Key), Dolphin Marina (mile marker 25, Little Torch Key) and Garrison Bite Marina (Key West). The Middle Lower Keys is a laid back residential area with a few resorts, many great places to eat, abundant wildlife and less crowded than Islamorada to the north and Key West to the south. I have many days throughout the year where we don't see another boat all day.

The most convenient place to fly into is Key West. Ft. Lauderdale or Miami generally offer more reasonable airfare and it's a scenic 130 mile drive to the lower Keys from Miami.
