Season is in Full Swing and Overdue Report!!! 4/13/12
Hey Everyone,
Sorry for the lack of reports over the past month, I’ve been busy on the water everyday and slacking big time on my reports.
Its been a absolute awesome March and April of fishing in the Florida Keys this year. We had a good stretch of wind throughout March, but water temps have been consistently warm and fishing on fire. The Migration of BIG Tarpon have been here since February and we’ve put many big fish to the boat. The permit have been up and down, with the better fishing in late Feb and first few weeks in March. Still finding some nice Bonefish as well as a few Permit, but Tarpon have been on top priority over the past few weeks. Tarpon have been laid up in the basins, working channel and moving in giant schools along the Gulf and Atlantic edges. The night fishing has been great for smaller Tarpon as well as plenty of big ones under Bahia Honda Bridge. We’ve been taking some breaks for the primary gamefish on occasion and catching some big tasty Sea Trout, jumping Ladyfish and tons of Monster Sharks with lots on Fly Fishing gear!
I’ll be down in the Keys until the end of June Chasin’ around the Salt Water Gamefish. I am booked solid until June 2nd, but still have a few opening in June and can always set you up with a quality guide in April and May if your looking to come down.
Give me a call or shoot me an email if you have any questions, need a updated report or simply want to catch up!!!
Will try and keep the reports more updated over the next couple months.
Enjoy some pics from the past month below!!!
